LD Welding & Fabrication Co.is a minority owned small ship repair business started January 2019. We are a VSRA Member who provides our services to local prime Contractors and Shipyards in the Hampton Roads area. We have established a favorable reputation in the Hampton Roads area and have provided our services to companies in Florida and San Diego Ca. We have a small team of experienced individuals, comprising of Project Managers, Supervisors and skilled trade personnel. When required we supplement our workforce using reputable staffing agencies. We are currently working at NASSCO Norfolk, BAE Systems NSR, MHI SHIP REPAIR, Tecnico Corporation, Lyon Shipyard, NAVAL Station Norfolk and Little Creek Amphibious Base functioning in the capacity of a subcontractor. 

LD Welding & Fabrication Co. is owned and lead by Luis Diaz and Dennis Carter whom together  have 50+ years of experience in shipbuilding and ship repair and the cumulative experiences within our team. We specialize in pipe welding, pipe fitting, welding fabrication, structural welding, modifications, repairs and installations. We offer competitive pricing. Our proactive Safety and Quality Assurance Department that provides support and guidance throughout our workforce. We pride ourselves in our safety record. LDWF is dedicated to our customers by placing priority on safety and quality efforts for every task we accomplish. 

The quality of our work is important, but we also keep in mind contract schedules, tests and inspections in order for us to deliver our finished product & services on time with compliance to all industry standards and customer requirements. 

LD Welding & Fabrication's facility in Norfolk, VA has 8000 sq. ft of shop & fabrication space with access to 3000 sq. ft of available storage space. The property is under 24 hr. camera surveillance. The facility is within 10 to 15-mile radius to the interstate giving quick access to all local shipyards and Norfolk Airport.
